Lauf Cycling and Gravel Worlds Announce A Limited Edition Seigla
First Lauf painted, finished, and assembled in the USA
Lincoln, Neb. (November 16, 2023) – Lauf Cycling and Pirate Cycling League are pleased to announce a Limited Edition Seigla. It will be the first Lauf bicycle to be painted, finished and assembled in the United States.
The Pirate Cycling League, host of Gravel Worlds, is celebrating the 14th edition of the event in 2023, which will be held August 25-26 in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Lauf Cycling introduced the Seigla to the gravel market in the spring of 2022, boasting industry leading 57mm x 700c tire clearance and improved rear end compliance. The Pirate Cycling League Limited Edition Lauf Seigla will be branded with a custom paint job that follows their pirate branding that can be found along all Gravel Worlds events.
According to Gravel Worlds Marketing Director Jason Strohbehn, the design and color scheme of this bike honor the group’s pirate roots but keeps Pirate Cycling League branding to a minimum for all riders to feel welcome on this bike.
“We did include some of our favorite phrases including the ultimate rule of being a Pirate Cycling League member,” Strohbehn said. “Rule #1: BE COOL, and what we hope every Seigla will do, Sail The Gravel Seas.”
Strohbehn said Lauf Cycling has been one of the longest supporters of Gravel Worlds.
“We can’t think of a better way to commemorate the Official Bike of Gravel Worlds for the 7th year than a beautiful, limited edition Lauf,” he said. “We truly feel like we’ve grown up together and have overcome so many hurdles together as partners in the gravel scene.”
According to Lauf Cycling Marketing Director Ólafur Thorarensen, “We have been a proud supporter of Gravel Worlds and Pirate Cycling League since 2016. We’re excited for the first Lauf Seigla that will be painted, finished, and assembled in the USA to be with the partner we’ve had for over half a decade.”
Orders for the Pirate Cycling League Limited Edition Lauf Seigla are now open at www.LaufCycling.com and will remain open until January 5, 2023. All bikes will ship no later than April 1, 2023.
