The Courses

Alright, that’s more like it, now you’re talking! You can do it, mates! I’ve never seen such sailors. Not in all my born days, I ain’t. Naturals! My God, everyone of you, naturals…
The 2020 courses will be released the week of the event. Expect a fun and challenging course for each event with a mixture of fast gravel, smooth dirt, and minimal pavement. Below are the 2019 courses for reference.

Checkpoint and Oasis info

Gravel Worlds p/b Lauf True Grit

  • OPTIONAL – The small community of Loma is at approximately mile 40. The Loma Bar will have Kolaches for sale. CASH ONLY! Loma is also the location in which part of the movie, “To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar” was shot.
  • OPTIONAL – Valpraiso is another small town at approximately mile 50 with two gas station convenience stores and it may also have a Scout Troop selling snacks and beverages. Please support the Scout Troop! Bring CASH!
  • MANDATORY – CHECKPOINT 1 is located at Branched Oak Farms. Approximately mile 60. You must stop and get a pipe cleaner for your handlebar at this MANDATORY CHECKPOINT!
  • OPTIONAL – Small town of Malcolm at approximately mile 67. Malcolm General Store has all kinds of refuel options.
  • OPTIONAL – water oasis (local well water) at mile 82.
  • OPTIONAL – water oasis (local well water) at mile 88.
  • OPTIONAL – Small town of Denton at approximately mile 92. Gas Station Convenience store on the course.
  • OPTIONAL – Small town of Sprague is at approximately mile 116. Traditions Pub is doing an oasis and will have food for sale. Bring CASH!
  • OPTIONAL – water oasis (local well water) at approximately mile 128.
  • MANDATORY CHECKPOINT 2 at the Reinkordt Farm at approximately mile 131. You must stop and get a pipe cleaner for your handlebar at this MANDATORY CHECKPOINT!
  • OPTIONAL – Malcolm Baseball field at approximately mile 141 will have the local youth baseball team selling supplies for cash to help pay for another baseball diamond. Bring CASH!

Privateer p/b Cycle Works

  • OPTIONAL – the small town of Denton is at approximately mile 35. It has a gas station convenience store with plenty of supplies.
  • OPTIONAL – the small town of Malcolm is at Mile 56. The Malcolm General Store has plenty of supplies.
  • OPTIONAL – the last town will be Raymond at Mile 66. There is a small bar called The Ding in Raymond. You’ll need to go inside and wait for service. Maybe make some new friends.

Buccaneer p/b Chamois Butt’r

  • OPTIONAL – the small town of Malcolm is at approximately mile 10. The Malcolm General Store has plenty of refuel options.
  • OPTIONAL – water oasis at the end of Mill Road near NW 70th at approximately mile 15-16.
  • OPTIONAL – the last town will be Raymond at Mile 21. There is a small bar called The Ding in Raymond. You’ll need to go inside and wait for service. Maybe make some new friends.
